Last weekend, the annual Midnight Walk, in aid of St Helena Hospice in Colchester took place. Around 2500 ladies entered this 12Km walk, starting and finishing at the Colchester United football stadium. A stream of pink flashing bunny ears could be seen winding its way through the streets from midnight to about 3am on Sunday morning.
The Water Direct team of Nicola Silcock, Laura and Maggie Henderson completed the course in 2 hours and 34 minutes, getting absolutely soaking wet in the process!
Apart from supplying a team of walkers Water Direct also donated bottles of 500ml water, which Keith Silcock and Richard Connor provided to the water stations, along the route, ensuring that all those taking part were properly hydrated.
St Helena Hospice raised some £156 000 in pledged support/donation on the night. A figure which they are hoping to surpass during the next few weeks.
