Water Supplies for Commerce & Industry
All sectors of industry rely on a reliable water supply provided to them by their local water utility company.
For instance were you aware that it can take up to 200 litres of water in order to produce 1 Kw of electricity, and approximately 8000 litres to manufacture your family car, not far off 14 litres to wash a single microchip (using processed water or demineralised water) like those in the computer your are now using, and most importantly, around 10 litres of quality assured water to brew the perfect pint of beer!
Not all of the volumes shown above are used directly in the production process. Much of the water consumed by industry is lost to cooling by evaporation, welfare use and even boiler use.
Occasionally, the mains water supply is interrupted or contaminated and at times of peak production, simply not enough to cope with the demand. In any of these events Water Direct can supply equipment to act as a complete surrogate water supply, or simply to provide a “top up” as required.
