Our range of water tankers provide an excellent way of filling swimming pools with quality assured water.
As the UK’s preferred alternative water supply company we provide a service to swimming pool construction and maintenance companies where we fill newly built pools (slowly so as not to disturb the linings) and during the summer months our tankers operate a “milk round” on certain days, providing our private clients with a facility to top up their pools on a regular basis, and sharing the costs with like minded individuals.
Water for Spa’s and Whirlpools
The water supply services that Water Direct can provide, incorporate both quality assured mains water or demineralised water for use in you pool.
We recommend that your water is tested and /or changed regularly to maintain the highest levels of hygiene.
The first case of Legionnaires disease from whirlpool spa was documented in Brighton UK in 1984, where there were 26 cases of pneumonia associated with a hotel, 16 cases were confirmed as legionnaires` disease. Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 was isolated from both the cold and hot water systems and from two whirlpool spas.
The whirlpools had been poorly maintained and a log of water treatment and test results had not been kept. Filters were found to be clogged with hair and other debris. We also offer a Microbiological testing service along side our bulk water delivery service.
