Water Direct started by providing water supply services to the UK’s water utility companies back in 1996, and although the work we do for them forms the bedrock of our company, we continue to strive to find solutions to water related issues facing various types of businesses.
Water Direct is now the preferred alternative and emergency water supply company to most business sectors throughout the UK, ranging from food producers, who require our quality assurance as part of their audited process, through to manufacturing industries who use our product for general processing.
We have been chosen as the preferred drinking water supplier to many of the UK’s festivals and events. At many of these concerts, fun days or fetes, we have to create a bespoke water supply system, including the provision of temporary water storage and water mains together with water distribution points for drinking water, catering and general welfare.
The construction and civil engineering market forms a large part of our day to day business. Water Direct has framework agreements in place with many of the UK's largest construction groups. We supply a full range of services from a few hundred litres for on site welfare use through to building a complete temporary water supply incorporating temporary water supply tanks, which will stay on site until the local water utility company can provide a permanent water supply.
Both private individuals with swimming pools and those who build them use our water tankers on a regular basis to either fill or top up their pools. We have a range of water tankers to suit most environments, so driving through residential areas doesn’t cause a problem. All of our bulk water delivery vehicles have the capability to pump water over 200m.
Contingency planning for commercial clients has become an established part of our business over the past 5 years. Many businesses are assessing the impact on their core activities, if they were to lose their various utility supplies, Water Direct can help mitigate those risks by helping clients put an effective contingency plan in place specifically for water loss.
