Following another thorough audit, we’re thrilled to have received top marks across the board for FORS Silver.
The Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a UK-wide, voluntary accreditation which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, which is awarded to companies who are delivering exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
Following our most recent audit, we have maintained the FORS Silver level accreditation for the third year running, following an additional two years maintaining the bronze level standard prior. This year the criteria had been significantly expanded upon and fortified yet, we were able to rise to the challenge and secure a 100% pass rate after improving a number of internal systems and processes.
The silver accreditation not only confirms that operators use good practise and remain compliant with the FORS standard requirements, successful companies are also confirmed as compliant with the CLOCS Standard for construction logistics and TFL’s WRRR (Work Related Road Risk) initiative, providing further reassurance for customers.
With our fleet of vehicles increasing after a £2 million investment last year, maintaining the FORS Silver accreditation demonstrates the high levels of safety maintained across our fleet, delivering peace of mind and reaffirming trust in customers.
Daniel Bashford, Quality & Compliance Manager at Water Direct said, “We are really pleased with the result this year, particularly as it was another clean sweep for the company after achieving a perfect score in our Achilles UVBD Verify B2 audit earlier in the year, but also that we managed to meet the challenge of the new tougher version of the FORS Silver standard.
Preparing for the audit, as well as maintaining the standard year-round is a real team effort so everyone involved in our transport management system should be very proud of this achievement.”
