Water Direct has announced that Anglian Water and SES Water have signed new contracts for alternative water provision during supply interruptions. These contracts allow access to the unique Nationwide Bottled Water Bank, guaranteeing quality assured drinking water delivery within hours after being given notice.

Anglian Water is the largest water and sewerage company in England and Wales, accounting for 20% of supplies. They supply over 1 billion litres of water every day to 2.5 million households and 110,000 businesses. Anglian Water has received many awards throughout their years of operation proving to be innovative, sustainable, and reliable for all their customers. The beginning of the partnership between Anglian Water and Water Direct dates back to 1996 when the Nationwide Bottled Water Bank first opened. Since 2015 Water Direct has continuously assisted Anglian Water with alternative water provision when it is needed. The new 4-year contract, signed earlier this year, triples the volumes of previous contracts; ensuring complete resilience of their alternative supply plans in line with an ever-growing customer base, which is the forefront of providing a great customer experience.

This latest contract has seen Anglian Water further increase their membership within our Nationwide Bottled Water Bank which now has over 25 locations nationwide, enabling a fast response of quality assured bottled water for Anglian Water and their customers.”



SES Water also utilise the Nationwide Bottled Water Bank for alternative water provision, as well as a range of other services that Water Direct offers. This ongoing partnership between the companies celebrates 10 years of alternative water supply service. This year they signed another 5-year contract continuing the collaboration and ensuring that all customers always have access to drinking water. This means that during planned works or unexpected water supply interruptions all SEMD (Security and Emergency Measures Direction) requirements will be met.
SES Water supply 160 million litres of clean water every day to over 745,000 people in parts of Surrey, Kent, and south London. They have been supplying the area since 1862, adding new regions and delivering exceptional customer service to all the communities within them.
