Your Bottled Water Delivery
This page provides more information about your bottled water delivery and where to get water supply updates.
Why you've received
this water
You’ve received this bottled water because there may be, or has recently been, a failure or temporary interruption to your mains water supply due to an incident or planned maintenance in your area.
When this happens, your local water company must make sure you still have access to safe drinking water.
To help, your water company has arranged for bottled water to be delivered directly to your home so you have what you need while the mains supply is affected.
The water you’ve received has been provided by Water Direct, a specialist supplier of safe drinking water.
Who are Water Direct?
Water Direct is a UK specialist in alternative and emergency drinking water supply, and we are the provider of the bottled water you recently received.
We work in partnership with your local water company to make sure that, whenever there’s an issue with the mains supply, safe bottled drinking water reaches customers as quickly as possible.
What’s happened to my water supply?
Water supply interruptions can occur for many reasons — including:
- Burst or damaged pipes
- Equipment or network failures
- Severe weather or flooding
- Power cuts or planned maintenance
- A water quality issue
Your local water company is working hard to restore normal supply as quickly as possible. In the meantime, they may:
- Use tankers to refill reservoirs or boost the network
- Set up bottled water collection points in affected areas
- Deliver bottled water to homes on the Priority Services Register
Please note that in some situations, your water company may provide bottled water purely as a precaution, even if your mains supply has not been fully interrupted.
How to use your bottled water
Please use the bottled water for drinking, cooking, and essential hygiene until your mains supply is back on.
The water is safe for drinking.
